About the Project
The Banner Alzheimer’s Institute Cyclotron/MRI and PET Scanner project consists of an addition to the existing Banner Alzheimer Institute, adding approximately 8,000 SF and renovating approximately 10,000 SF. The addition is a structural steel frame on a caisson and grade beam foundation with a stucco exterior over metal stud framing to match the existing facility. The Cyclotron addition consists of concrete walls two feet thick with adjacent spaces requiring extensive lead shielding, including prep injection rooms with one-inch-thick lead bricks in the walls.
