University of Washington Medical Center – Clean Supply Room Renovation

The Clean Supply Room Renovation project at the University of Washington Medical Center required a three phased approach to segregate the existing Materials Management space into Materials Management with associated administrative spaces and a Clean Core for the storage of clean supplies before being delivered to operating rooms. The work included creation of a new Scope Processing Area and Clean Scope Room within the existing Central Sterile Processing Department (CSPD).  The project required the replacement of the existing Materials Management Fan with a new Air Handling Unit located in the same physical space as the existing fan on the Minus-1 Level. The hospital and CSPD remained fully operational throughout construction.
