Regional Vice President, Rocky Mountain

Charlie Robben graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and Management. As the Regional Vice President of Hensel Phelps, based in Thornton, Colorado, Charlie is responsible for establishing policies and strategies that drive the growth of the Rocky Mountain Region. He oversees the management and direction of all projects in the region, ensuring the fulfillment of Hensel Phelps’ commitments to its clients.

Charlie began his career with Hensel Phelps in 2006 in the Southern California Region. Throughout his tenure, he has worked on various projects across Southern California, Northern California and Colorado. His roles have included Office Engineer, Project Engineer, Area Superintendent, Project Manager and Operations Manager. In 2025, he was appointed the Regional Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Region.

Currently, Charlie serves on the Board of Directors for the AGC of Colorado, the Denver Metro Board of Governors and the Board of Governors for the Colorado Springs Chamber and EDC. He is also an active participant in the Downtown Denver Leadership Program and a leader in Hensel Phelps’ Employee Experience Enterprise Strategy.

Charlie and his wife, Jamie, reside in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, with their two children and two dogs. When not attending or coaching youth sports activities, they enjoy golfing, traveling and camping.
