DBIA awarded the East County Hall of Justice Center in Dublin, California the National Award of Excellence and the National Award of Merit in the Federal/State/County/Municipal category. The East County Hall of Justice is a 196,000 SF design-build project consisting of a five-story courthouse building and a two-story county Building connected by a shared lobby and security screening area. The courthouse building houses 13 criminal courtrooms and associated support spaces, while the county building provides space for the Public Defender, District Attorney and Probation Department.
