University of Washington Mary Gates Hall

About the Project

Located in the center of the University of Washington campus in Seattle, Mary Gates Lecture Hall consists of 127,900 SF of renovation work and 55,259 SF of new construction. The renovation of this historical building included retrofitting the structure, restoring masonry skin and completing interior finishes. The new addition is a steel structure with structural CMU, brick and cast stone skin. The building is now used as the Center of Undergraduate Studies and includes administrative office space, classrooms, an auditorium, and a mechanical attic.
