United Airlines Terminal C &E Baggage Handling System

About the Project

The United Airlines Terminal C&E Baggage Handling System project aims to modernize baggage handling with advanced technology. The $102.9 million, 422,070 SF project includes three baggage drop-off canopies, a new bag control room, an oversized bag screening room and a state-of-the-art Early Baggage System. These upgrades are designed to enhance efficiency and throughput without expanding the airport’s footprint. Hensel Phelps provided Construction Manager-at-Risk services for the team, which included Siemens as the BHS Design-Builder and PGAL as the architect of record. Executed in five phases, the project maintained airport operations, processing 35,000 bags daily.
