UC Irvine Engineering Unit 3

About the Project

The Engineering Unit 3 project at UC Irvine was constructed to provide primarily wet and dry labs and expansion space for the five engineering departments: Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Civil and Environmental Engineering. The project added much-needed surge space and a 350-seat lecture hall. The multi-story facility was constructed while the campus was in session with ongoing operations while other construction projects were being built simultaneously. Careful attention was placed on the safety of students, faculty, and staff while construction was in progress.
