About the Project
Hensel Phelps constructed the Doctors on Call (DOC) clinic in an existing grand floor of the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel & Resort for Straub Clinic, an affiliate of Hawaii Pacific Health. The Doctors on Call Clinic includes several exam rooms, a med prep room, a procedure room, nurse stations and labs. The clinic was constructed to provide easy and convenient medical access to the Hawaii Pacific Health patients who work in Waikiki. The project included the demolition of the existing tenant space, structural concrete slab infills, installation of new electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems around the existing hotel support systems, installation of new medical equipment and coordination with the hotel’s operations team to ensure the construction did not impact the normal operation of the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel & Resort.
