Hensel Phelps Honored With NAVFAC Safety Through Awards and Recognition (STAR)

Hensel Phelps project team for the Combat Systems Engineering Development Site, Moorestown, NJ were honored to receive the NAVFAC Safety Through Awards and Recognition (STAR) Program Letter of Recognition for superior safety performance and commitment to the exacting standards of the U.S. Navy.

The NAVFAC STAR Program is a significant achievement and is awarded to “those companies with a recognized and proactive corporate safety posture critical to protecting its most valuable resource – its people.” Special mention was given to Hensel Phelps’ zero DART incident rating during the 230 consecutive days since Notice to Proceed. Additionally, Hensel Phelps has achieved a rating of above 90% on all monthly safety checklists and has not been citied with safety non-compliance or stop work orders.

In his Letter of Recognition, Lieutenant Commander E.F. Mosquera, Public Works Officer, acknowledged various Hensel Phelps for “their superb efforts in executing an effective safety program resulting in zero MISHAPS.”
